A good GPS signal depends on many different factors. As a result, sometimes problems may occur with your route in the GoSkate app. Below you will find the most common GPS problems.
- GPS Drift: You will see in the GoSkate app that the route generally follows the shape of the road, but with much less precision and does not always follow the road.
- Lost GPS signal: If the GPS signal is lost and picked up again somewhere later, the points before and after the loss of signal rage as treated as all other points (although more time has elapsed) and connected with a straight line.
- GPS jump: A "jumpy" GPS route may cause your activity to report more or less distance than you have actually travelled. As each zigzag of your GPS route and should be accounted for with a straight line connecting them.
